ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT with Specialist Education Services

£18,562 to £19,698 pa depending on experience and qualifications

We are looking to appoint a proactive and adaptable Administrative Assistant to join our team at Avocet House to support the business, financial and admin functions of the company.

General Responsibilities:

  • To provide welcoming and efficient reception services
  • To deliver exemplary customer service
  • To work closely with the Administrator and other members of the admin team
  • To assist with a range of secretarial and clerical tasks
  • To assist with a range of financial processes
  • To work within and adhere to SES policy and statutory guidance

Person Specification:

  • Keen to gain or build on recent experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Works on own initiative
  • High level of personal organisation
  • Hard working with attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator
  • Team player
  • Strong ICT skills
  • 5 GCSE’s A* to G including English and Maths A to C or equivalent

This role is equally suitable for someone wishing to take the first steps into a career in business administration or an experienced individual wishing to further develop their career.  Training and the opportunity to gain a formal qualification will be offered.

You will be motivated to achieve the very best for the young people in our care and relentless in your pursuit of excellence and attention to detail.

The working week is 37 hours with holiday entitlement of 35 days per year.  We have two homes within 3.5 miles of each other, providing excellent opportunities for shared professional development.  There is onsite parking for all staff.
