TEACHING ASSISTANT with Specialist Education Services

NJC Scale pts 11 – 15, £25,979 – £27,803 per annum (pro rata for term time only), depending on experience.

Due to a planned restructure, Specialist Education Services is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join the team at Avocet House.  We are a company with a national reputation for excellence in our work with Looked After Children and outstanding staff support and development, underpinned by a “No Limits” approach.  Our two establishments for 8-18 year olds are based on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, both holding good Ofsted judgements for education.

SES Teaching Assistants now have the opportunity to progress their careers to unqualified teacher status, a development and assessment year can begin following two years of service or after one year if at the top of scale.  If successful you would move to the UQT scale, starting at point 3 £25,323 with the ability to reach point 6 £32,134 (salary not pro-rata’d), you would also receive the annual SEN allowance, currently £2539.
